Paid training will be provided to qualified candidates via an online Parenting Coach Certification course. Parent Coaches employ Present Moment Parenting, helping parents focus on the whole child in the present, rather than on “modifying the behavior.” Parent coaching is a strengths-based intervention that provides biological, foster, adoptive, and kinship parents with hands-on, here-and-now tools for bringing about rapid, dramatic improvements in the relationship with their child result in the child’s behavior.  The Parent Coach will provide in-home, community-based, and/or telehealth services for parents involved in CCS and/or CPS programming.

Job Requirements:

Candidates will have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in counseling, education, social services, or other human services field, plus at least two years of experience in child welfare or another child-related field.  Preferred candidates have experience working with bio, kinship, or foster parents whose children have experienced trauma. A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, insurance, and reliable transportation are required for this position.

This is a part-time position, with the possibility of increasing hours to full-time, which provides a flexible schedule with some evening hours, a home-office base, and opportunities for professional development.

The Intensive Trauma Specialist will provide in-home, community-based, and/or telehealth services for youth and adult clients involved in CCS and/or CPS programming. Responsibilities will include assisting the client in working through the trauma that has happened to them to understand how this has impacted who they are today. The focus is to clarify these life events to move forward into a more positive, healthy future, full of healthy support systems and connections. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong ability to build relationships, significant computer skills, attention to detail, and the drive and passion for helping clients find lifelong connections while addressing grief, loss, and trauma.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's or master’s degree in human services, counseling, or related field, with child welfare or counseling experience. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
