A New, Exciting Seminar for Professionals who Work with Adolescent Moms
DATE: Wednesday, November 11, 2009
Learn more about this one day seminar at http://www.whoisrevoy.com/ReachTeach.html (online registration available). Training brochure and registration are attached to this email. Please share this with any other professionals who may be interested in attending"In this day and age we need more information on healthy brain development in children and the important difference it can make. We need more information on how adolescent brain development may influence a teen mom's ability to parent. We need more resources for staff working with this unique population so their efforts are both effective and fun. That is why we have developed a one day seminar for parent educators, social workers, case managers and any adult who works with adolescent moms." -Deborah McNelis, MS and MaryAdele Revoy, MS ("Reach and Teach" facilitators)

ANU FAMILY SERVICES Presents free training on
“Helping Foster Children Develop and Maintain Connections”
Utilizing Darla Henry’s 3-5-7 Model & Mardi Louisell’s Family Search
& Engagement Model (FSE)
Foster youth are often more successful when they have a long term supportive relationship with kin or other important adults in their life. This training will provide workers with the knowledge on how to encourage, prepare and support youth to make these connections with family and other important adults in their life through a practice model called family search and engagement or family finding. Due to grief and loss issues, youth need to be prepared for permanency. The 3-5-7 model helps prepare youth for permanency. Both the FSE and 3-5-7 models can be reviewed and accessed prior to the training at www.anufs.org (referrals and outcomes tab).
Participants will receive 4 training hours for attendance.
