Don & Nancy Adams
and Family

Don and Nancy Adams live in northern Wisconsin, in Sawyer County just outside Hayward. Adam’s two older children Elizabeth and Brad have graduated college and have their own place and income. There youngest child, Brittany, still resides with them. They are currently working with younger males, and are willing to accept females, preferably middle to high school age but will accept younger.
Elizabeth teaches math and lives in the area, she visits often. Brad lives and works in North Dakota, he comes home for visits. The Adams family is an active self-motivated family. They are involved in sports with weight lifting, cross country skiing, hiking, biking, golf and swimming. This family is supportive of each other and their community. Community service is a part of their family lifestyle, volunteering at school functions, walk-for-life fund raiser, toys for tots and other projects that help is needed to support their community. Don and Nancy own a tanning salon, which they both work in as well as their 2 daughters. Don and Nancy have lived the foster care lifestyle for 20+ years and believe in guiding children to make and meet life goals. Don and Nancy have an excellent working relationship with the schools. |

Karin Woller

Karin Woller lives in Bruce, Wisconsin on a dead end road near the Thornapple River Dam. Karin is a friendly outgoing person who is easy to talk to and shows her interest in people especially children. Karen enjoys music, working in her gardens and loves her family. Karen has a deep religious faith which she says is what keeps her grounded. Karin has child care assistance through her adult children to help as needed. There are medical, optical, dental, therapy resources within a reasonable drive for support of placements.
Karin is interested in sibling groups. School age girls are Karin’s preference. Teenage boys are not appropriate due to the limitations of the young woman she is guardian for. Young males would be appropriate.

Jason & Kim Vaaler
and family

Jason and Kim Vaaler live in a rural location in Melrose, Wisconsin. Jason and Kim were married on October 10, 1998. They have a very committed relationship, and family is very important to them. They enjoy doing many outdoor activities together including camping, hiking, fishing, and bike riding. Jason and Kim have five children altogether. Jason has two teenagers from his first marriage, who currently live full time with their mother in Holmen, WI, and spend weekends and holidays with the Vaalers. Additionally, Kim and Jason are raising their three biological children. Kim has previously worked at Family & Children’s Center in their residential facility, so she is very familiar with the varied needs of children in foster care. They have also done some respite for family friends who have special needs children. Most recently, the Vaalers had a sibling group of 3 girls placed with them who progressed well in their family environment, and who were successfully discharged to the care of their grandparent. Kim and Jason were very supportive of family contact, and worked hard to ensure the girls would have a smooth transition to their new home.
Kim and Jason are certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Family Care Providers. They have also attended training on family connections, grief and loss due to separation, the impact of abuse and neglect on children, and trainings related to various mental health issues for children.
Jason and Kim would prefer to work with younger children, so that their daughter, Mercy remains the eldest within the children residing in their home. The Vaalers really enjoy having siblings placed with them, but are also open to unrelated children. They are open to varied needs, but would prefer children that do not have any sexual perpetration or severe aggression issues out of concern for their children and animals in the home.
Kim stays home full time as she home schools their three children. Jason is a conductor for Burlington Railroad in La Crosse. When he is working, he is gone for 24-36 hours. His schedule varies from week to week. When he is out of the home for his job, the Vaalers stay in close touch by phone. Kim keeps Jason updated on what is happening with the children, and they discuss and make decisions about the children as a team.
Jason & Kim attend a non-denominational church in La Crosse. They are very active in their church and attend on a regular basis. They would prefer foster youth to attend church with them but would not force them to participate if they did not want to.

Ray & Gidget Harris
|
Ray and Gidget Harris are experienced treatment foster parents and have worked with all age groups. With Farming they are both full-time at home parents which helps them work fully as a team. They do not work with sexual perpetrator issue and violence due to the children and animals.
Ray and Gidget are experienced caring parents who understand child development and accept children where they are in life. Harris’ have experience working with teen males and females as well as younger children. The Harris family have been working with children in some capacity for over twenty years. They have worked with children, at camps, in church and with little league. They have strong skills in working with foster youth with a variety of mental health and behavioral issues. Harris’s are CPR certified as well as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Family Care Providers and in Family Connections work.
Ray and Gidget marred in June, 1989. They have been licensed since 2003 as a Treatment Foster Home they have 8 children, 3 biological and 5 adopted. Ray and Gidget live in a fairly new home they build in rural Sawyer County in Northern Wisconsin. The Harris family has an array of outside pets including dogs, cats and farm animals. The Harris family belongs to the Ladysmith Baptist Church, they are active members themselves as well as their children. The children attend the Luther Bible Camp every summer as well as the family camp each year.

Pat & Jeanne Walsh
|
Pat and Jeanne Walsh have been married 25 years and have lived in their rural Washburn County home for 19 years. Both Pat and Jeanne are close to their families with Jeanne’s parents living within a mile of them and Pat’s parent’s living next door.
Their 4 children live at home with their son working full-time in Rice Lake and their 3 daughters attending Rice Lake High School. All three girls are good students and are involved in sports and maintain jobs during the summer months. The family has 3 dogs, 2 cats and horses.
Pat works full-time at Rice Lake High School as a Special Needs Aid during the regular school year. He is off summers. Jeanne works part-time approximately 15 hours per week at WITC Adult Services. Pat coaches a variety of sports and has coached his children’s teams as they have grown up. Pat works at the Rice Lake High School as support staff working exclusively with Autistic children. Pat has extensive training in the area of Autism. Pat enjoys hunting and fishing and being with his family.
Jeanne presents as a self-assured well educated person. Jeanne describes herself as “ambitious, caring, and persistent”. She states that the best thing about her life is her family. Jeanne enjoys scrapbooking, quilting and her family as well as camping, fishing and her pets.

Kris & Nancy Hagen
|
Kris and Nancy Hagen reside in Ettrick, Wisconsin and have been licensed with Anu (formerly PATH) since July of 2006. They are both retired and are stay at home parents. The Hagens also have a great deal of experience in working with chronically and seriously mentally ill adults. (The Hagens no longer provide this service.)
Since 2006, Kris and Nancy have had mostly teen girls in placement with them, to include teen mothers with their infants. The Hagens work very well with birth parents, supporting and assisting in ongoing family contact, and understand well the importance of family connections for children. Issues they have had experience with are many and varied and include: AODA, juvenile offenses, ADHD, depression and bipolar disorder, and aggression, Over the time they have worked in child welfare they have attended trainings that include the impact of abuse and neglect on children, grief and loss due to separation, AODA issues, and depression. They are certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Family Care Providers. Nancy and Kris are very nurturing parents who provide the children in the home much love and support, and demonstrate a high level of commitment to them.
Nancy and Kris have been married since 2/10/1968, and have four children from this marriage who are all adults and living independently. They have a close relationship with their children and love spending time with their 6 grandchildren who range in age from 6 to 16 years of age. The Hagens love to cook and entertain family and friends, and also like to camp in the warm months. They enjoy celebrating the holidays with family, and the children in their home, and like attending sports events in their community.
The Hagens attend the Parkview Community Church in Black River Falls, WI, and Nancy attends Bible study there regularly. For the Hagens, their faith in God is very important to them, but they are very tolerant of the beliefs of others.

Jack & Karen Bartleme
|
Jack and Karen Bartleme live in northern Wisconsin in Oneida County just outside of Rhinelander. Jack and Karen have been licensed foster parents for over 8 years and they are both stay-at-home parents. Jack and Karen prefer to work with males ages 10-14, but they will also accept younger and older males.
Jack and Karen’s older adult children live outside of the home and are also licensed foster parents. They often provide respite for one another. Jack and Karen live in wooded acreage. They enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, and gardening. They are involved in community based activities (e.g. swimming, exercise at the YMCA), four wheeling, picnicking, fishing, and boating. The Bartelme’s have strong working relationships with community service providers. There is a day treatment program (Impact Counseling) in the area and there are programs available for community service hours.

Jay & Mary Jo Gignac
|
Jay and Mary Jo Gignac are located in Rhinelander, WI. They enjoy working with youth ages 10 through 18, preferably teenage girls. Due to younger children in the home, the Gignac's will not work with sexual perpetrators. Jay is a factory worker at the local paper mill. He works swing shift. Mary Jo is a stay at home mom.
Both Mary Jo and Jay have received on-going agency training for several years. Training includes, but is not limited to, TCIF training (crisis intervention), working with birth parents, CPR certification, reactive attachment disorder, AODA issues,
etc.
Jay and Mary Jo have been licensed as foster parents for 11 years. They have two children they adopted. Lindsey is age 13 and Noah is age 9. The family is active in school extracurricular and community events. The family snowmobile in the winter and camp fish, and four-wheel in the summer. Mary Jo works well with birth parents and community health care providers.
The Gignac's are noted for going the extra mile to accommodate County workers and the needs of the child.

Joe & Alisha Ligman
|
Joe and Alisha Ligman reside in Superior, Wisconsin. The Ligman’s are willing to consider all children of any age or gender but prefer children without sexual offending histories as they have small children in the home. The Ligman’s have 7 children between them, three who are living at home. Alicia has raised an adult daughter who has Downs Syndrome. They have provided respite on several occasions for children placed in Douglas County foster homes. The Ligman’s are certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Families and Alicia is highly experienced in providing cares to the medically needy.
Alicia is a full-time homemaker. She home schools their three youngest children. Joe works full-time as an auto mechanic at a local car dealership. His work hours are generally Monday through Friday 8 to 5 pm. The Ligman’s live in a 6 bedroom home in a suburban neighborhood of Superior, WI. They are very family-oriented, spending free-time doing outdoor activities together. Camping, boating and snowmobiling are a few of their favorites. The boys in the home play baseball in the summer months and hockey in the winter. The Ligman’s own a lake cabin in Iron River where they spend a great deal of time at in the summer.
The Ligmans are Christian and attend church weekly. They also keep busy as landlords for several rental units throughout the city and belong to local landlord association.

Dani & David Dexter
|
Danielle (Dani) and David Dexter are licensed as Level 2 foster parents and Dani has completed all of the training required to participate in the Anu Family 2 Family program as a family mentor. Dani is open to working with all children and has had significant success in working with challenging family issues. They are also open to providing respite to the families on a case by case basis.
David and Dani are parents themselves with a son and daughter of their own. Both are college graduates, with Dani holding a Master’s Degree in Social Work from UW-Madison. Dani has actively been providing mentoring services with Anu since 2010. Prior to that, she was employed with Rock County Human Services in child protection and for the Family Support and Resource Center. Through Dani’s experience as a mentor with Anu and through Family Support she has gained exceptional experience working with kids with significant developmental disabilities, including autism. She is currently a stay at home parent.
Dani and David live in a quiet neighborhood in the town of Stoughton with their infant son and young daughter. Dani and David are both very family oriented and inclined to want to lend a hand to others. Dani is able to provide straight forward feedback to struggling parents, while maintaining and supportive working relationship with them. Dani’s soft-spoken approach is helpful when working with hesitant clients.

Trina Gray
|
Trina Gray has expressed an interest in working with school aged children. Trina lives in the Fort Atkinson School District and she is open to working with children of varying abilities and cultural backgrounds. Trina is a stay at home parent. Trina is also licensed to provide services in Anu’s family preservation program as a family mentor.
Trina graduated from college in 2005 with a degree in Sociology and worked at Dane County’s Neighborhood Intervention Program with delinquent male teens during her college internship. Trina ran a child care center for five years and worked at a developmental center, supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
Trina is a single parent to 3 boys. Her eldest son, Cody is now an adult and no longer resides with Trina. She lives in a renovated, four bedroom, 100 year old farmhouse in the city of Fort Atkinson. Their neighborhood has a great sense of community and neighbors associate with each other and help one another out. Trina has a welcoming and open personality. She is a very accepting person who is willing to be creative in parenting children with treatment needs. Her non-judgmental approach is helpful when working with teens. She also has 2 elementary aged boys who keep the family involved with community activities and athletics.

Mary Jo & Phil Klamm
|
Mary Jo and Phil Klamm live in Edgerton. Phil is employed full-time employment at Oakhill Correctional Institute as a guard. Mary Jo remains a stay-at-home mother who maintains the family's varying schedules, including school and doctor visits, family visitations, and miscellaneous errands.
Phil and Mary Jo are open to providing care for a sibling set of up to 3 if it is needed. They have worked with a variety of youth over the years. Phil and Mary Jo prefer to meet the child before agreeing to placement as they like to be able to ask the child question and feel that the child should be able to ask them questions.

Randy & Sheila LaRose live in Cadott, Wisconsin in a rural setting. Randy is a Systems Analyst/Computer Programmer who works from his home office. Sheila is home full time as she is in a wheel chair due to her having MS. Randy & Sheila have raised their own children and have done respite for many others. The LaRose's have close family members who do treatment foster care and Randy & Sheila have been very involved and active with these youth. The LaRose's would like to do foster care for boys that are ages 5-17.
Robert & Astrid Mellor live in Stanley, Wisconsin in a rural setting. Robert works as a telephone operator for Xcel Energy and Astrid works as a warehouse supplier for Victory Hospital in Stanley. The Mellor's have a few cows and horses that they raise on their property. The Mellor's have raised their grown children and have done treatment foster care for teenage or younger girls. They are looking to do foster care for a sibling group or school age youth under age 14.
Earl & Sharon Jensen live in Frederic, Wisconsin. Earl owns his construction business and Sharon stays at home fulltime. The Jensen's live in a country setting where they have many animals, some of which include cows, horses, chinchillas, chickens, and peacocks. The Jensen's have done foster care for over 20 years. Sharon has a prosthesis for a left arm and shoulder due to losing this from a flesh eating bacteria. The Jensen prefer to work with school age boys.
Dan & Susie Niles live in Frederic Wisconsin. Dan works as a machinist fulltime and Susie is a stay at home mom to their 7 year old daughter who has been diagnosed as MR. Dan & Susie also do adult foster care. Dan & Susie prefer to work with youth that are medically fragile or developmentally challenged.
Vicki and Joe Harter have been parents to foster and adoptive children for over 22 years. They have adopted 12 children, and thoroughly enjoy the challenge and rewards of parenting. The Harters live on a hobby farm in rural Cashton, WI., where they raise several different animals, and garden extensively, raising much of their food. Vicki works at the VA in Tomah as a social worker and counselor, and Joe is the stay at home parent. Vicki is a very energetic person with an optimistic and peppy personality. Joe is quite laid back and quiet until he gets to know you. Together they balance each other well. The Harters make a great team in parenting special needs children, and have experience in many different issues that children present. Vicki and Joe are open to school age children ages 5-17, either male or female, and are willing to adopt a child if that would be an option for a chld placed with them. They do not want to work with children who have been fire setters or sexual predators.
Tamy and Ed Maciosek livein the rural town of Milladore , WI, however, they live within a one-half hour drive of four major cities (Wausau, Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, and Stevens Point). Consequently, there are a variety of community resources and service providers to choose from including medical, dental, optical, psychological, and counseling service providers. Tamy will graduate with an undergraduate degree in social work in December 2012, and works a few hours a week at the "Y" in Stevens Point. Ed works full time as a team leader for the Challenge Academy for teens at Fort McCoy, WI. Ed and Tamy work together well in parenting, using their individual strengths to complement one another in caring for the children placed with them.
The Macioseks are great advocates for the children they parent, and are skilled in working with birth parents, reaching out to them with acceptance and support, and mentoring them when they can. Ed and Tamy love children very much, and want to do their best to help them reach their goals. They would like to foster children who are 10 years and under, either male or female, and are open to a large variety of issues children may present. Tamy and Ed would also consider adoption, should that become an option for a child in their care.
Richard and Nancy Selje reside in Janesville, Wisconsin. The Selje's enjoy working with males between 4 and 13 years. They have had great success working with sex offenders, criminal thinkers, neglect and AODA issues. They have a very structured home with consistent rules. They enjoy providing life skills and working with children on independent living skills.
The Selje's have been doing foster care for almost 30 years. They have attended numerous trainings over the years to build on their knowledge of children and issues affecting their lives. They have attended the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Families training through Anu Family Services and are certified in the technique. Richard has been on the Board of Directors and is currently on the advisory council and policy committee for Anu.
Richard works for Hartland Payment Systems. He has an office at home and travels often for his job. He has a lot of flexibility with his work. Nancy is a stay at home mom and the primary caregiver. Nancy practiced as an RN prior to becoming a full time foster parent.
The Selje's have been married since 1981. They have a loving strong relationship. They live in a quiet neighborhood in Janesville. Their four-level home allows for a lot of space for foster children. The Selje's have three grown sons who have families of their own. They all live in either the Janesville or Madison area and are around often.
Leonard and Tina Lutzow are located in Wausaukee, WI and are currently working with boys age 15 and up. In addition to raising their children, the Lutzow's have been doing treatment foster care for more than 15 years. Leonard and Tina do not work outside of the home. The Lutzows have received on-going treatment foster care training over the last 15 years and are well versed in treatment and therapeutic techniques. The Lutzow's have had male placements of all ages over the years and are especially good working with boys that are academically behind, have runaway behaviors, AODA issues, cognitive deficits, Reactive Attachment Disorder, have a history of delinquent behaviors, and mental health issues. The Lutzow's have a strong working relationship with local school staff, law-enforcement officials, and community mental health professionals/programs.
The Lutzow's live in a quaint country home in rural North Eastern Wisconsin. There is an abundance of wildlife and foster child learn to respect wildlife by feeding the deer and taking pictures. The Lutzow's have two adoptive children still at home Chris (age 18) and Jonathon (age 15). Holidays are special with large gatherings of The Lutzow's grown children, grandchildren, and often former foster children. The Lutzow's are an active family. Children are often enrolled in extracurricular activities and the family enjoys camping, fishing, and other outdoor activities.
Justin Goebel and Cindy Verdegan reside in rural Rusk County on a hobby farm. They have opening for males or females age 0-12. Justin works for a local farmer doing field work and milking cows. Justin farms and Cindy is a full-time at home mom. With their combined children they have 6 kids however two of Cindy's 4 are half-time with her and half-time with their father and the other two are full-time with their father. Justin's 2 kids are home occasionally as his son has extreme difficulties with changes in his routine. They have been able to combine the children with ease as they were friends initially. Justin and Cindy are a child centered home that teaches love, respect and responsibility. They teach through daily living and believe children need a healthy balance of fun and work. School is an important part of their lives as well as fishing, camping, 4-wheeling and just having fun. Children placed have enjoyed the animals although animal care is not required.
Frances (Fran) and Dave Kuester Live in Ashland, WI. And are both retired and home full time, they live in Washburn county about 4 miles from Ashland, WI. They have an opening for a female. The Kuester's have 5 adult children, two who are approved respite providers for the children placed with them. David & Frances live in a newer home over looking the city of Ashland and Lake Superior and have 2 friendly golden retrievers. David and Frances are very experienced in working with school-aged youth with mental health issues, AODA and developmental delays. They would prefer placements that do not have abusive behavior toward animals. David and Frances are actively involved members of the Zion Lutheran Church in Ashland. David enjoys refurbishing homes and gardening. Fran is active playing the organ at church, attending school sporting and community events, cooking and shopping.
Joe and Bobbi Jo Vojtasek live Rusk County in the village of Bruce. They have an opening for a male ages 0-12. They live in a 2 story 2 bedroom apartment with a yard for outside playing. Joe is disabled but works limited hours driving for a medical van company, Bobbi Jo works at a local day care facility part time. The family enjoys camping, fishing, going to community activities such as ballgames and school functions. Joe and Bobbi Jo have 4 grown children and 11 grandchildren who are very involved in their lives. This is a close loving family. The Vojtasek's have been providing foster care for 15 years. They work with school age males. There are medical, dental and therapy resources in the area to support placements. There are two Day Treatment programs the Vojtasek's have worked with and they have an excellent relationship with the Bruce School.
Larry and Renee Lynch live in Beloit Wisconsin and have been Treatment Foster Parents since 1996. The Lynchs are willing and able to work with a variety of issues. They prefer to work with younger children and are a great resource for sibling sets. They have participated on hundreds of hours of training over the years and continue to be open to learning and growing as foster parents. They are trained in CPR and First aid. Larry works full-time outside of the home and Renee is a stay-at-home Mom. Renee and Larry have been married for decades. They are ‘high school sweethearts’. Renee and Larry have two biological sons that live in the Beloit area. Both of their sons are married and are approved respite providers. Renee and Larry also care for James, who started out in the home as a foster child and now is in adult care.
Larry and Renee currently have one treatment foster child placed who they are planning to adopt. They currently have three openings for boys or girls, preferable under 12 years old and sibling sets.
Karen Pfeil is a single parent living in the city of Sun Prairie. She has been licensed by Anu to do Treatment Foster Care since 2010. She owns her home and lives in a quiet neighborhood. She has a golden retriever and two cats. Karen is a member of the Road Apples Car Club, and Suzy Favor Hamilton’s Running and Walking Club. She enjoys fishing, camping, knitting and attending car shows. She has many activities in her community for children to participate in. She will encourage school athletics or activities and pursue new hobbies for children in her home. Karen would prefer to have school aged children placed in her home. She will foster either males or females and currently has placement of a 17 year old boy. She has worked very successfully in the past with sibling groups and in transitioning children back to biological family .
Karen is open to working with children with emotional or behavioral issues as well as cognitive or developmental delays. Karen has also been blessed with raising her own son. Her son is diabetic and Karen has had to assist with his medical care. She has numerous experiences working with special needs population. She worked for Creative Community living services where she provided in home care (part-time) for a 50 year old with mild mental retardation and women with short term memory loss. Karen has also been a respite care provider for Dane County and has experience with foster children. She is open to working with biological families to facilitate in the successful return of children. Karen is employed at the Department of Workforce Development where she has worked for over 30 years. She is a planning analyst and monitors federal employment and training programs. Her current work schedule is Monday-Friday 7:45-4:30. Karen stated that work hours can be flexible if needed to provide care for foster children.
Karen currently has openings for three children. One would have to share a room with her current placement and she currently has one open room. She would be interested in a sibling set, younger boys or children with mild developmental delays or minor medical issues.
Donna and Gordon Squire live in a ranch style home in Janesville, WI and have been licensed as Treatment Foster parents through Anu since 2007. Both The Squires have requested to work with children under the age of 6, either male or female. Donna and Gordon grew up in Edgerton, Wisconsin. The Squires have experience raising their own children, and have completed the 30 hour Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training through Anu, as well as CPR/First Aid. The Squires have participated in numerous trainings through Anu Family Services. Donna and Gordon provide a stable, structured home for young children. They work incredibly well with birth families and work hard to build those relationship and partner with parents in raising their children. Gordon is currently a full-time Lead Worker at VP Building where he works as a welder. Donna previously worked at Johnson Bank in Janesville around 32 hours a week as a teller. Donna reviewed the amount of hours she was working at a bank, and decided to leave her job, and devote her time to being full-time foster parent.
Donna and Gordy currently have three openings, but are interested in 1-2 more placements at this time. They are most interested in working with children under the age of 6, sibling sets, and children with mild medical needs.
Rosa Perez & Felipe Feliciano reside in Milwaukee with their three children and one treatment foster child. Rosa has been a licensed foster parent since 2004 and Felipe since 2009. The Perez family has provided outstanding care for adolescent and teen girls. Rosa has an exceptional ability to connect with youth who are struggling with emotional and family related issues and in guiding them through those challenges. This is a bi-lingual, English and Spanish speaking family and they have worked with several Spanish-speaking youth over the years. Both parents work outside of the home, but their hours and schedules are flexible to provide the care and supervision needed of children.
Rosa and Felipe currently have two openings for a male or female youth. They are committed to working with youth in the Hispanic/Spanish-speaking community, but are open to all referrals. They are also open to sibling sets, and teen mom/baby.
Gerry Carter is a single foster mom who lives in a well-established neighborhood in Menomonie Falls. Gerry has worked with boys and girls of all ages. She is patient with children and tries to teach, and use “teaching moments”. She has raised a son of her own, and is raising her niece (who is an adult now). Gerry welcomes and attends most all trainings – she values and learns from them (her yearly hours are always above and beyond the required number of hours per year). Gerry works part-time in the retail industry, but her hours are very flexible. Gerry receives support from her family in doing Treatment Foster Care and her mother and adult son are Anu approved respite providers.
Gerry currently has one opening in her home. She is most interested in working with younger children, males or females. Ages 4-13.
Carl and Charlotte Greer live in Milwaukee and have been licensed foster parents through Anu since 2008. They have been married 21 years. They have two sons of their own, the youngest almost out of high school. Char grew up in a household in which her mother was a foster parent and so she has extensive experience in foster care from multiple perspectives. Carl and Charlotte hold high supervision values and keep their clients safe. They have a structured and enriching home – Charlotte will work on academic with the kids, even as young as three years old.
Carl works as a plumber at MPS. He works 7-4:30PM or so. Charlotte volunteers a lot and does speaking engagements, consulting projects. Her schedule is flexible.
Greer’s attend trainings and seem to appreciate learning new skills. They Boys or girls, ages 3-12. Work well with sibling sets.
Due to the recent successful reunification of a young sibling set, the Greer’s now have three openings for boys or girls ages 3-12 years old. As stated, they have worked well with sibling sets in the past and enjoy that experience.
Jeff Knox has worked with at risk youth for over 30 years, most recently as a Treatment Foster Parent since 2007. He has prior experienced at Willowglen. Jeff has worked primarily with boys and most recently with chronic AWOL Males from age 12-19. Jeff was able to manage successful program for inner city AWOL youth in Milwaukee through the utilization of trained support staff. Jeff has an incredible ability to connect with and understand the challenges of young males in his community who look up to him. He is an exceptional role model and allows children to make changes at their own pace while challenging them achieve more. Jeff is employed full time with the US Postal Service. He is able to adjust his scheduled as needed to care for children and also receives support from his adult son, who is also an Anu Treatment Foster Parent.
After taking a brief, well-deserved break from fostering, Mr. Knox has four openings in his home and is now ready for referrals. Jeff is able to work with school-aged males.
Tony Knox has been licensed as a treatment foster parent since 2009. He resides in Milwaukee in a single family home. Most recently, Tony has been working for his dad’s specialized foster home as a support staff/tracker for chronically AWOL youth. During this time he has also been attending school at MATC where he is pursuing his degree in nursing. Tony is motivated, compassionate and well –spoken individual. He provides solid mentoring to the young males he works with. They look up to him and value his opinion and acceptance. Tony currently resides in the family home with his mother, though Tony is the primary parent for children placed in the home. Tony’s mother, Tyrie, had been licensed as a treatment foster parent before and would be welcome to become licensed again. Tyrie has been a child care provider for the past twenty years and also provides a nurturing, accepting environment for children. When Tony is not working or going to school, he enjoys playing and watching sports working out at the gym and going to movies. Tony receives support from both his mother and his father who is currently licensed in another home.
Tony currently has two openings. He is willing to work with children from school age to 17.
Eula Johnson is a single foster parent who has resided in Racine for many, many years. Eula and her late husband, Joe, have provided foster care for over 40 years with every child and situation imaginable. Prior to Joe’s death in 2012, the couple had been licensed with as Treatment Foster Parents since 2005. Most recently they have worked with adolescent and teen boys. Eula has an incredible amount of patience and understanding for the trauma history of children and resulting behavioral issues. She does not react strongly to youth and provides a nurturing, yet structured home. Eula has been able to maintain placements in her home for years at a time when necessary and is able to maintain challenging behaviors for long periods of time. Despite the incredible amount of training that Eula has received she remains open-minded to new ideas and approaches to working with children and their families. Eula’s is the kind of home that kids go into and immediately feel comfortable.
Eula currently has two openings for boy or girls from 3-17 years old. She is willing to work with children with developmental delays and mild medical issues as long as lifting and/or transferring is not required.
Lonnie King is a single foster dad who resides in his own home in Milwaukee. Lonnie has been a licensed Treatment Foster Parent since 2006 and has had great success with the children in his home. He has provided a stable family environment for two boys who have been placed with them for five years. He has done an exceptional job at preparing them for independent living while supporting their emotional needs. Lonnie is an active, mature foster father who provides excellent supervision and structure for the boys in his home. He has worked with primarily teen boys and seems to have identified his niche. Lonnie has worked for Milwaukee Public Schools as an educational assistant for almost 20 years. His work schedule allows him the flexibility to be off when his children are off school, including the summer months. Lonnie ensures that all of the children’s medical, dental and counseling needs are met as well as working on independent living skills.
Lonnie currently has two children placed in his home and will have an opening for a third in the near future. He is willing to work with boys from 5-17 years old.
Dione and Meri White live in Wauwatosa with their two children and one treatment foster care placement. The White’s have been licensed by Anu as Treatment Foster Parents since 2011. They have maintained placement of a young girl in their home for almost a year and have excelled in their work with her. Dione and Meri work closely as a parenting team, providing structure and nurturance to the children. Meri is a teacher and is able to use her experience to understand the trauma and circumstances that children experience and their resulting behaviors. Dione is also employed full time as a contractor. Between the two of them, they provide exception care and supervision to children thus far in their fostering career.
Meri and Dione currently have two openings and are ready for another placement. They prefer to work with boys or girls from age 4 to 12.
Michael Williams is a single foster dad who lives in his own home in Milwaukee. Mike has worked with children for about 20 years in various settings. He has worked in a residential care setting, foster care setting and in the Milwaukee Public School System. He has a bachelor’s degree in Human Services and is working on his Master’s Degree in Education. Michael is a 50 year old African American man. He is currently a school teacher and is in graduate school at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Michael has two teenage children who do reside with their mother in Michigan. He is active in church and enjoys several recreational activities. Michael is very involved in his faith and attends church weekly. He is an officer at his church and encourages children to explore their faith.
Mike currently has two openings and he prefers working with teenage boys 13-17. He is willing to take sexual offenders or aggressive children. He is most interested in affecting the lives of young African American boys.
Sharon Butler resides in the rural Town of Oconto, about 30 minutes north of Green Bay. Sharon has a background of working as a licensed in-home childcare provider and has been licensed as a treatment foster parent for 14 years. Sharon has 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Sharon prefers to work with teen girls between the ages of 11 and 18. She has extensive experience working with sexual abuse victims, girls with a history of self harm (suicidal ideation and self cutting), special education needs & poor school performance, and in preparing youth for independence. Sharon is certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Care Providers (TCIF) and has completed training in Family Connections (3-5-7 model and family search and engagement). Sharon believes in building upon youths’ strengths. She believes that children succeed most when they have someone who believes in and supports them in their journey to make positive change. Sharon works well with birth parents; she supports birth family involvement, is willing to transport for visitation, and offers support to the parent’s of the girls placed in her home. Sharon has developed a strong working relationship with the Oconto School District and with numerous service providers in the Green Bay area. Sharon has 2 in-door cats.
Paul and Sue Bourassa reside in the rural Town of Oconto, about 30 minutes north of Green Bay. Paul and Sue have been licensed treatment foster parents for 5 years. Paul is employed with New Cap in Oconto on a full time basis Monday through Thursday. Sue is a stay at home mother who substitutes as a school bus driver on occasion. The Bourassa’s prefer to work with teen boys between the ages of 12 and 18. They have extensive experience working with AODA issues, delinquencies, poor school performance, and with histories of physical and sexual abuse. The Bourassa’s have worked with a number of youth who were expelled from school. The Oconto School District and Sue work closely with home-bound services and Oconto has been open to accepting expelled students back into their school once they show progress in a home-bound setting. Sue transports youth to Green Bay for mental health services. The Bourassa’s work closely with birth parents; they encourage family involvement and are willing to facilitate family contact (visitation, phone calls, etc.) per county recommendations. Paul and Sue enjoy camping, the outdoors, and spending time with their extended family. The family has 2 dogs, 2 cats, a guinea pig, rabbits, chickens & turkeys.
Darrin and Michelle Volbright live in the rural Town of Mayville, about 20 minutes southwest of Fond du Lac and 45 Minutes northwest of Milwaukee. The Volbright’s have been licensed treatment foster parents since 2006. Darren works for Mantz Automation an average of 50 hours per week. He works Monday through Friday – first shift. Michelle is a stay at home mother who devotes her time to her children and foster children. The Volbright’s have 3 children (ages 1, 9 & 12) living in their home. Darrin and Michelle are interested in working with younger children (age birth to 12), male or female, with a wide range of treatment issues and of any racial, cultural, or religious background. They have experience working with medically needy and developmentally delayed children. The Volbright’s are willing to provide transportation to Milwaukee for medical and mental health services. They encourage birth family involvement and are willing to provide support and assistance to birth parents. The Volbright family enjoys spending time together – they camp, love Brewer’s games, movies, bowling, mini-golfing, and having family game nights. The Volbright’s are very excited to have another child come to their home!
