“ We knew our Deafblind son was ready to leave the out-of-state treatment facility where he had lived for more than two years, but we could not care for all his needs at home. Anu Family Services gave us more than hope. They worked with our family and the county to deliver a plan that gave our son exactly what he needed; his family, his home, and people to help him negotiate the world. “ ~ Mother

History
Anu Family Services, formerly known as PATH Wisconsin, was licensed as a Child Placing Agency in the State of Wisconsin in 1992. We've have an 20 year proud history of providing innovative solutions to help create permanence, safety and well-being for children and their families. We have been nationally accredited by the “gold standard” in child welfare accreditation—The Council on Accreditation (COA)—since our inception in 1992.
Anu Family Services was originally founded as a division of our former parent company PATH, Inc. As an early founder and innovator of the national/international treatment foster care model Anu has roots as a foster parent founded and led organization. Our former parent company was founded in 1972 by a small group of foster parents who believed that professional, highly trained and involved foster parents could provide effective treatment to children with challenging behaviors in family-based settings. To this day, Anu Family Services is committed to these values and the belief that children develop best in family-based settings.
Our first locations developed in Western Wisconsin, and have expanded to a state-wide presence that ranges accross the entire state from Milwaukee to Hudson and Superior to La Crosse. Our current headquarters include: The Western Region Headquarters in Eau Claire, The Eastern Region Headquarters in Madison and The Administrative Headquarters in Hudson, Wisconsin.
Our service specialization started with treatment foster care and has expanded to service offerings in mental health, in-home family services, parent support services, parent visitation services, DeafBlind services, medically fragile foster care, respite, family-to-family mentoring, family search and engagement and more.
In January 2011, Anu established it's first Minnesota based program offerings including Treatment Foster Care and Family to Family Mentoring as a Rule 4 Child Placing Agency.
